Horizon Recruitment Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our not-for-profit client. They are looking for someone with a strong background in accounts payable, ideally in a high volume, automated environment (500 monthly invoices). This person would need strong communication skills as they will be working with many stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Full cycle accounts payable, processing purchase orders, invoices, cheque requests, expense reports through an automated end-to-end paperless AP system (Beanworks).
- Invoice data entry, reconcile transactions, monthly reporting, GL journal entries for month-end close.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments on a timely basis.
- Reconcile credit cards and payments by scheduled processing deadlines.
- Complete reconciliations between Beanworks and Sage 300, as well as Sage 300 subledger to general ledger.
- Analyze accounts and create ad hoc reports, monitor accounts and correspond with vendors.
- Maintain petty cash.
- Prepare royalty reports to support license payments.
- Prepare PST, GST, withholding tax remittance reports and year-end T4A slips.
- Back-up support for Accounts Receivable.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Accounting or a related discipline.
- 4 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with good understanding of Excel, experience with Sage 300, Beanworks is preferred.
- Knowledge of PST, GST and withholding taxes is preferred.
- Excellent analytical abilities with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Remuneration:
- $55,000-$65,500K
