Just HR has an immediate need for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist with a leader in the beverage manufacturing industry and an impressive long term history. Our client is growing quickly and is seeking an outstanding Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join their HR team. We are recruiting for an individual who has a track record of working with third-party managed payroll services, administering benefit programs and contributing to the development of wellness initiatives. Candidates should be detail-oriented and able to help maintain and administer payroll and benefits. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational and time-management skills as well as the capacity to work under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately processing and managing all payroll-related activities within the company while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- As the Short-Term Disability Administrator this position has oversight of claims processing and payment, in addition to the coordination of return-to-work programs.
- Process multi-provincial payroll, changes and adjustments for employees (both salaried and hourly employees.)
- Process and submit Record of Employment forms.
- Review and process allocations for Finance.
- Assist with year-end reconciliations, preparation of T4 and related summaries.
- Respond to payroll inquiries within timelines, delivering a high level of customer service.
- Prepare payroll tax forms and year-end summaries, including T4 and T4A preparation.
- Serve as company subject matter expert and top escalation point of contact for all payroll and benefit-related items.
- Oversee the reconciliation and remittances for Workers Compensation, Benefit Invoices, Garnishments, etc.
- Administration of compensation, benefits, and other total rewards programs.
- Play a critical role in promoting employee satisfaction, motivation, and retention by providing exceptional service in the delivery of compensation, benefits, recognition, and wellness initiatives, in alignment with the company's business goals and values.
Requirements:
- A minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll administration
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) or Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR)
- 3 years’ experience in human resources with a focus on compensation and benefits
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Experience using ADP Workforce Now and Managed Payroll Services would be an asset
- Knowledge of statutory withholding's, CPP, EI, Income Tax, Workers Compensation.
Remuneration:
Our client offers a comprehensive salary with targeted range of $60,000–$70,000 and a competitive benefits package.
