Horizon Recruitment Inc. is currently working with a large, complex organization with a wide variety of holdings across North America and Europe to seek a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This new role to the team will be responsible for compiling, reviewing, and analyzing financial results, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data for internal and external stakeholders, such as business leaders, lenders, insurance providers, and suppliers. This role will support the manager in overseeing essential financial reconciliations, enforcing financial controls and procedures, and delivering analytical support to the wider Finance team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and associated reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct quarterly intercompany analysis and consolidation, maintaining accuracy and consistency in financial reporting.
  • Creating annual audit support documents, such as year-end and quarter-end GAAP financial statements.
  • Acting as a liaison between auditors and the Finance Operations team for annual and interim audit requests.
  • Review and validate monthly data integrity checks and balancing reports for general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and tax returns.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures aimed at enhancing efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • CPA or equivalent designation required.
  • Large ERP experience an asset (i.e. JDE and Hyperion Financial Management).
  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail and ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, management, and organization skills.
  • Works independently, manages multiple tasks, and sets priorities.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and excellent customer service.
  • Advanced computer skills using accounting / job costing software; and
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with expert knowledge of Excel.

Rewards:

  • $90,000 - $105,000
