Just HR is conducting a search for a Manager, Total Rewards for our global enterprise scale client with a solid track record of growth, best in class systems and significant opportunities for career growth in a high performing HR team. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this position will also motivate and guide the Total Rewards team and manage vendor partnerships for compensation and benefits services. The Manager, Total Rewards is tasked with the leadership of global compensation and benefits initiatives, ensuring that supportive systems are in place to facilitate our client's business growth. This role is centered on overseeing total rewards programs, offering expert guidance in compensation and benefits. Key responsibilities include steering data analysis and analytical efforts that bolster corporate HR projects.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee international benefits and retirement schemes, covering health insurance, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, retirement savings plans, extended health and dental care, and additional benefits.
  • Lead the yearly benefits renewal, which includes assessing and selecting brokers and insurers, modifying plans, strategizing costs, and communicating these updates.
  • Create and update regular and special reports, supplying data for analyses, planning, surveys, and various presentations and reports to internal clients.
  • Oversee global compensation practices, aiming to improve efficiency, competitiveness, and enhancements of the programs.
  • Lead the annual rewards review process, organizing and sharing information about the company's annual bonus and salary adjustments; work with Finance to ensure these plans align with the budget and financial goals.
  • Advise leaders, managers, and HR colleagues on pay choices, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform market studies to set compensation benchmarks; update salary structures to remain competitive, aiding in hiring and keeping top talent, and rewarding outstanding performance.
  • Work together with HR and top management on organizational structure, job roles changes, and job evaluations.
  • Take a lead role in supervising the function and operation of the client's HR Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Offer guidance to internal partners and oversee external consultants and providers for the customization and configuration of Human Capital Management (HCM) systems as needed.
  • Maintain the accuracy and consistency of HCM system data, including timely updates and maintenance, and serve as the go-to expert for understanding how it integrates with other systems and processes.

Requirements:

  • Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources or a comparable mix of education and experience.
  • At least 7 years in the Human Resources field, with a minimum of 4 years specializing in Total Rewards. This experience should cover advanced work in compensation, including job evaluation, analysis of compensation and benefits, administration, and quantitative modeling.
  • Holding or pursuing certifications such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) is beneficial.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Familiarity with leading Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, such as Workday, UKG, or SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Proven track record in crafting and managing Total Rewards strategies in international contexts, beyond Canada would be ideal.
  • Excellent writing, verbal communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing large volumes of data accurately and with great attention to detail. 

Remuneration:

  • Base salary target for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 plus bonus.
